Palmitoyl pentapeptide is a very precise and biologically active peptide. It is structurally similar to the precursor molecule of collagen Type I. It has been found to stimulate the production of important components like elastin, fibronectin, glucosaminoglycan, and different collagens types (specifically I, III, and IV), supporting the extracellular matrix and wound healing.
